Kimberly discusses her trip to Toronto. After seeing the film What If, she really wanted to visit The Purple Purl. However, she was not able to get there but did find the Americo Original yarn store. They had many beautiful yarns and you can order online as well.

Both Thuy and Kimberly won prizes in the Double Deco KAL! Woohoo! Kimberly won two patterns - the Volcano Cowl and the Melt Slouch Hat, both by Leah Coccari-Swift. Thuy won 3 skeins of Ewe Ewe Wooly Worsted in Pistachio to make the Cloudy With a Chance of Weather Scarf.

Our yearly fund-raiser is held on the first Sunday of November in the Torrance Cultural Arts Center. In addition to the over 30 fiber-related vendors, there is a fashion show, door prizes, demos, exhibits and sales of guild members’ work.

Thuy made a large project bag using the Hold Everything pattern from the Quilt-It website.

Thuy also made yarn sleeves from various stretchy fabric blends, modeled after sleeves from The Lemonade Shop. And it looks like The Lemonade Shop is making yarn sleeves for sale now.
